Have kayaked over, snorkeled on, hiked near and dived in the Ningaloo Marine Park. I have seen birds, mammals, fish, rocks, water and one marsupial.

Am very, very happy, somewhat more tanned and a trifle weathered.¹

There's a massive pier off the North West point at Exmouth that has a lot of coral growing on it and a corresponding huge fish population. I managed to organise a dive despite minor problems like not having my dive log with me¹ and the only Navy Pier Dive being at 8am on a day we had planned some serious paddling.

We returned to South Mandu to find the tide quite different and our lovely launching spot turned into largish waves crashing on a rocky shore.

Ignored sunrise utterly in the smug knowledge that I wasn't one of the gang who got up extra early and jogged up to the ligthhouse to see it in all it's splendour. They very considerately said "Oh it was shit" when they trotted back, all glowing and happy. 

My trip started with me packing a vast amount of stuff including $350 worth of food bought by two girls with bad colds (fear our impulse buying). After some clever car shuffling we collected two hire cars of which I became an offical driver [shiver]. We attached three sea kayaks to the roof of each car and wedged more gear in than I thought possible.
