What an awesome and awful thing to do to an audience, little snippets of footage from The Resistance in 10 chunks building up to the release of Season 3. SciFi.com you marketing fiends you.
I expect issues of resistance, collaboration, redemption, Higher Powers and anything else we can throw into the mix.

Came in the mail at last.
ascetic_hedony called me a demented owl but enthusiasm is called for.
I am going to watch it all, then I'm going to watch it again, I'm going to re-read my favourite50 5 fics and listen to Love is a Battlefield. Then I'm going to explain exactly how I feel to anyone who cares to listen.
I could be talked into sharing...

If I was to organise some regular Doctor Who watching would people be interested?
I'm interested in the third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee (1970–1974) and the fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker (1974–1981) right now but could be talked into other Doctors as well.

I've just realised I can't do Sunday the 14th and I'm wondering if people could make the Saturday. Yes? No?
ED: Saturday it is, all welcome. 1pm onwards.
Very nice evening, Evangelion still a source of much confusion. Amused self by salting
mynxii and trying to feed
buoy_wonder a small iceberg. Made thai green pumpkin soup, watched
maharetr make more muffins [dribbles] and computer appears to have dieded.

Much cooking was done, there were tarts and muffins and soup and fried stuff. We gave up on the brulee and but did very well in the lime custard tart stakes. Need more lime and thinner pastry but very, very nice.
Me: I better get more food so we can do lunch
AH: Just do dinner, people will have late breakfasts...
Ha!
Evangelion 10-18 were watched and we are still confused but happy.
Thanks to all for a lovely day.

Starting at 12pm, all welcome.
It was also take dogs to beach, jog and wash dogs day. Fiend Wendy abandoned me at the beach to go smootch fishermen and poor Kenobi was menaced by a bristly black dog who didn't like him very much. I thought he had been bitten for a moment because he ran off limping and yelping but I think maybe just scared and a little hurt as he was fine after I made him sit down and rest. Also saw a Pomeranian puppy on its first beach outing panic when a collie tried to sniff it, poor little dear squeaked it's heart out and fled... and fled... and fled.
Collected a continuous stream of friends over the next few hours and cooked a vast amount of food including sticky date muffins, egg and bacon pie, broccoli and mushroom salad, pumpkin soup, spinach, cucumber and tomato salad. Much thanks to various helpful people who chopped, cooked, made salad dressings, supplied eggs and were generally wonderful.
Forced deprived people to watch Constantine.
Have seen 9 episodes of Evangelion and plan to watch more. Thank you to everyone for such a great afternoon and evening.
WouldSunday the 30th Anzac Day be a good time to book in for more episode watching?

Would
So there was interest in watching a "few episodes"...
Did people have a specific day in mind that would work best?
Saturday? Sunday?

Lovely weekend with
maharetr destined for lazy shopping and watching BSG and Aeon Flux.
Found a Durian while looking for real food (so hard to find in a supermarket) and had to buy it. It was very disappointing smell and taste-wise. Battling through the spiky stuff and the overall structure of the fruit was really interesting. I think I need an expert to pick out a good one. Why can I dimly remember porny durian poetry?
Bought a new toy! Have laser pointer shaped like a tiny gun that flashes. It has a tiny filter so you can make the shape of a naked woman on the wall. I forgot to try it out on the fence across the road last night. Also! Instructions for use: Your laser pointer work if pressing down on/off button and it stops working if releasing the button. This is not true at all.
Watched BSG 18, 19 and 20 with breaks to sit out the back and wibble.
japester came by the share tales of battling mighty.. err severs.. and help eat icecream. After the saga of the evil bed it looks like it has repented of its ways and is willing to support many people.
Watched Aeon Flux the series, it was enigmatic, weird and twisted. Oh and entertaining. Animated french kissing is very, very wrong.
Read Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz, was very easy to read in one sitting. I really liked the "Lie to me but don't lie to the dog" stuff.

Gawd. So boring. I read stuff.
Thank goodness I had paddling to look forward to, was there late, used one of the bigger boats and talked some newbies through basic paddle strokes. Hehe, you can steal balls more easily with a bigger boat.
Told M. and far too many bystanders all about my paddling experience using interpretive dance. I don't think I'll be living that down any time soon. I do a darn good jellyfish though.
BGS 2x20. Holy fraking frak.

At my place - all welcome.
Sunday 25th from midday onwards.
Sunday 25th from midday onwards.
It was a beautiful day. I did much laundry. I was in the backyard. Woofer left me a stick to play with in a convenient location, I stood on it, I rolled my ankle.
Ouch fkn ouch. I wasn't even doing anything bad!
I've also been reading "Piracy Is Good? How Battlestar Galactica Killed Broadcast TV".

Her fabulousness
cricketk snapped up some tickets for the advance screening so we piled along last night to squeak and squee. More commentary when everyone else has seen it.
I am so naïve; they scanned everyone at the doors and took all mobile phones away; I cheerfully handed over the phones and walked to my seat before realising what they actually wanted was the digital camera still in my bag.
The police on the way home stopped me for a random breath test and a short discussion on why I don’t have a registration sticker for Lambert thus wasting all my lovely speeding.
