Cally, Jammer and the Chief return Nora's bag (and the remaining celery) to Duck who vomits and blames himself. Jammer is silly enough to try tell him something about the will of the gods and Duck clears the shrine in a spurt of rage. He then asks the Chief if there were guns in the temple. Tyrol is smart enough to know it's a bad question to answer "Yes' to but coughs up the second time Duck asks.

After Duck smashes the shrine in his and Nora's tent you get to see a framed picture of Nora and Duck looking all lovely and together wearing very similar clothing.

This is messing with me because if Nora was a viper pilot ( and Emily Holmes doesn't appear to have any prior acting in BSG to her credit) why is the Resistance only trying to recruit Duck and why did she run back for the celery with all the survival instincts of a stunned duckling?

I object to cheap sacrifices and crappy characterisation.

Perhaps she was a very green viper pilot? Starbuck rattled off quite a long list of losses in 'Scar'.

Or maybe they were just playing dress ups for the photo ;-)

She wasn't in the show prior to these episodes so we can make up any back story we like. I don't think 'green' would explain running towards the guns. I also don't think it explains her total lack of interest/involvement in the resistance.

I can't imagine Duck (or any pilots) tolerating someone making light of the uniform. If you're wearing the uniform of a viper pilot then I think we can safely assume you *are* a viper pilot.

Fair points all.
