Duck and Nora are all sweet and loving, it’s definitely having Nora that guided his choice to not join the resistance. I like the way he tells her about Jammer trying to recruit him and she obviously knows what he’s talking about.

In stark contrast the Chief, Jean and Tigh are up to their necks in intrigue and you just *know* that storing weapons under an altar in the temple is going to be a terrible idea.

It’s nice to see what makes up an altar. Polished stones, those two little metal statues, the candles and the vase, it’s simple and poignant.

I’m really feeling for Jammer who is obviously not at all keen about defiling the temple.

Closing on Duck and Nora again with their mutual caring and Nora’s obvious spiritual care was a nice contrast to the previous tension. Who represents the human population of New Caprica?

The temple is beautiful and Callie writing her little prayer then burning it is just charming. It’s a touching moment between women which makes the next scene all the more shocking. Of course the Cylons will raid the temple and of course there will be innocent deaths.

I can’t believe Nora went back for the bag – what was she thinking? They’ve been on New Caprica for a year and 67+2? days and she’s already forgotten hat they were in a war? She’s in a relationship with a viper pilot – she HAS to have some idea of what they went through even if she was a civilian and they met after they settled New Caprica. Also; they knew the Cylons were shooting resistance members.

Or is celery incredibly valuable?

The symbolism is a bit heavy and the wine dripping on the candle a bit over the top. I also have a hard time taking celery seriously.

My big question is “Who is Duck going to blame?” The Cylons? The Resistance?
