The woofer has arthritis in both front elbows. There is a 60% chance a series of shots will enable him to regenerate: if not he will be living on fish oils, doggy dietry supplements and painkillers at need.

Vet says we can still jog and we can still play fetch if I throw the ball into water. No ball fetching on land. At all. We are going to make a lot of beach runs this summer.

Also! Microchip has slid from the ruff to down his left leg, was about to panic when vet assured me they scan the entire dog.

It used to be quite bad. Worse than how I've see Kenobi recently.
Sam was unable to jump up onto my bed for a good 12 months after the surgery. He was not confident about climbing up the wooden stairs at Sarah's house, though he is still not 100% on them (slippery things).
Compared to two years ago, it's an infinite improvement.

He was positively sprightly this morning - we might try a gentle run on Saturday.

Poor Sam, he still seems very cheerful though!
