[livejournal.com profile] cupidsbow and [livejournal.com profile] maharetr joined me to see this and it was once again, beautiful. The Aerial Pas de deux was a display of breathtaking precision, trust, flexibility and strength. I loved it, the performers were amazing. There was hoop diving, trampolining, skipping ropes and a lovely Chinese dragon and lion dance with tumblers. The clowns were also clever and funny.

I bought a shirt with a smiling dragon on it (smallest possible mens size) and thoroughly recommend seeing Dralion.

I went with [personal profile] mr_booboo (who graciously organised tickets),[personal profile] sarren  (who sternly ordered me not to talk during) and [profile] mynxii  (who abandoned us while leaving when the mud got too deep).

The show was inspiring. The music, the beautiful costumes, the performers with their amazing strength and flexibility. I want to babble about the entire thing, the net climbing, the child acrobats, the clown/magician, the songs, the contortionist (boneless and so, so beautiful) and everything else I saw. Totally worth it.

A couple leaving with their two smallish children were having trouble carrying them, the second that one was in shoulder-ride position she kept contorting. Sheesh, you take 'em to see a show and they get all bendy.

Fabulous. I am so impressed by people that fit, strong and coordinated showing exactly what you can do when you are really good. There are many good bits to choose between; the amazing carnival of shows linked by a girl with a hauntingly beautiful voice; the clowns, the music...

One thing that blew us away was an acrobat in a German Wheel whose agility and strength was astounding. The combination of acrobatics and the sheer beauty of the costumes and lighting was dazzling. Another act that will stay in my memory for a long time was the Contortionist in Silk who performed in a flesh-coloured bodysuit high above the stage. What amazing muscles. The Living Statue performance featured a couple who moved with ponderous grace into positions (on top of each other) that demanded such balance and strength that I felt like holding my breath.

Boutique was kinda scary – you can get the DVD, CD, T-shirt, mask, mug, pin, key ring and much more.
