So now I can fall asleep to music again. Yay!

Had to move many books to get the thing on the right shelf. This is good in that much tidying happened and bad in that I shall not be reading any books by authors beginning with 'a' unless I get a sudden growth spurt.

Found many hair accessories, The Princess Bride, ankle strapping tape, bruise cream and a lot of birthday cards including the dodgy one from my father with 'Merry Christmas' crossed out.

Also have duplicates of The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King and Reave the Just by Stephen Donaldson so sing out if you wants 'em. Oh and Wolf's Bane by Tara K. Harper which I cannot in good conscience recommend.

This is a message to the both of yous, sort of.

It's a nudge to both of you about this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/maharetr/51045.html). Are you free? Sarren, I'm rather open to Teyla corruption... :)

And a question to Wobo re: the projector that appears to be leaving the safe confines if your house and coming to mine. There has been much joy and investigation of the fact that we do actually have a projection screen, the setting up of which will garrantee at least two laughing fits and three creative swearing sessions.
I can supply an array of power points and a possibly out of date DVD player (read: I have no idea how long ago we bought it). Does this meet requirements?

Yups, am free and shall be there - was failing to respond as last couple of weekends were a trifle busy and may not have been able to resist urge to hide at home; have been power-resting and may be able to spend time away from home without tears.

Sorry, just saw the link to your post about your open house thing. I was tired when I first read it and did wonder what you were nudging me about. Um, sorry, I work double shifts every Saturday.

I do try to get someone to cover when you organise something but generally no one wants to work Sat nights, obviously.

I realised Sat was bad for you, but in this case it was the only night good for me :( I forgive you tho ;).

All yours - I understand having more than one copy as it was cheap and maybe I didn't really have it and oh bugger... again.

[grin] Issues like as in God those books are long?

Nah I read the leprosy ones (never got to the end though) I have a strong memory of being 16 and being at a party and arguing with some boys about them.

that main character annoyed me so much, whining all the time about it all isn't real so it doesn't matter if HE RAPES PEOPLE. I never really stopped being offended *g* not that I hold grudges.
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 03:21 pm (UTC)
Ah, his science fiction is better - actually almost all his other stuff is better.
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 05:48 pm (UTC)
Yes but I can't read anything else by him because I'm OFFENDED. *g* Not that I hold grudges.

That's how I feel about Red Bull and their advertising campaign.
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 06:42 pm (UTC)
Cos otherwise you would drink Red Bull?

Do you mean the 'gives you wings'?

Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 06:53 pm (UTC)
I find them offensive, they rely on appealing to sexism and stupidity.
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 07:21 pm (UTC)
You have a very good point.

Of course, this applies to like half the adverts ever made, doesn't it?

How do you feel about the Lynx ads? *eg*
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 07:27 pm (UTC)
Never seen one - am I going to be offended because MickeyK has the BEST smelling manly shower gels EVER and if I have to give them up on principle I'm going to cry.
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 07:29 pm (UTC)
Do you want to remain in blissful ignorance?
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 07:39 pm (UTC)
*pats Wobo comfortingly* It's nothing. I was, er, making it all up. *looks innocent*

Nice, wholesome ads. Yes. *nods*
Tuesday, August 16th, 2005 07:43 pm (UTC)
Let me guess...

Naked people?
Smelly naked people?
Smelly naked people jokes?
Hot yet strangely stupid women who go for recently smelly naked men?
Wombats?
Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 04:16 am (UTC)
You're absolutely right!

Smelly naked wombats are irresistably attracted to men wearing Lynx.
Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 04:42 am (UTC)
I shall wear my wombat-repelling socks.

[dignified]

Do I understand you to mean that you have two copies of a book that you can't in good conscience recommend?

Because I cannot, in my wildest dreams, imagine you voluntarily giving a book away.
Friday, August 12th, 2005 04:36 am (UTC)
You may have just earned yourself a copy of Wolf's Bane...

Err no. I have one copy and wish someone else to give it the love that I cannot.
