This is particularly amusing to me since one of the main fandoms I read on the AO3 is Homestuck, which has a alien species who view buckets as deeply obscene (so of course buckets feature prominently in many Homestuck works on AO3)

Maybe! It's one of those works which some people bounce off REALLY hard, and some aspects are super problematic, but it's fantastic for what it is.
