...I'm confused
  1. Since when is Facebook 'reputable'
  2. I deleted my profile, why is not deleted?

...yeah, I know nobody who uses a pseudonym on FaceBook. I'm sure that person named "Dada ToxicMassacre" who's "liked" one of the nonprofits totally carries a driver's license with that printed on it.

When you run a One Of Those Institutions I Run, you get a lot of weirdos friending your FB page, let's just put it that way. And you know that my standard for weirdos is, um, more elastic than most.

Yeah, it'd be a great thing to call a goldfish, wouldn't it?

One of my facebook friends is named ThePrinceofBleedingFlowers (no spaces). I'm sometimes surprised at the sort of content he posts, and then I remember that he's really not using his work name.

If they consider LinkedIn a reputable source, then why did the kill prk's account?
News Articles, by their behaviour also don't count, as we've also seen.

::sigh::

They didn't accept my LinkedIn profile either, despite it being the same as my G 'plus' one.

What I think they're trying to say is: "Please provide us to a link with a reputable website that we think shows the name you're using is acceptable, but if we don't like it or believe it's really your name, we'll reject your request".

That said, I saw a link from the EFF on twitter this morning, suggesting Google may be softening their stance on things. I bet it won't be enough though.
