  • Job hunting still proceeding: Interview with PM, they want more details and think the 10 years I spent getting two degrees with four majors is a 'gap' on my CV (I call it getting a fabulous education) - will have to fix that somehow. Interview with R - was a bit weird but not in a bad way. Possible job offer from S, waiting on confirmation. *excited* It's nice to be wanted!
  • Did Prince2 Foundations (project management) via work (yay work!) - lots of ideas and practices around governance and tracking. My MBA unit Financial Management is kicking my butt - I don't see a future in Accounting for me.
  • Caught up with all of my immediate family - even wrote to my grandmother and plans are developing for the next two weeks.
  • House not sold but very clean still, plus one of the taller grevillea is flowering - have now identified the peach one as it's the only one brave enough to flower. I'll take my wins where I can get them.
  • Things feel tumultuous right now, lots of potential change and a fair amount of anxiety coming with it. The urge to plan my life in MS Project is strong, I am resisting.

The whole idea of a "gap" in a CV is almost always ridiculous. Very handy for keeping women from returning to the workforce. Grrr.

I understand the time I was unemployed (for six months) and not in any other activity except volunteering for OTW to be treated as a gap, unpleasant as it was, but education to be treated as such? Ridiculous.

You're awesome and deserve good things to happen; hope they do. <3
