Speech by Martin Luther King: "Free At Last" in Memphis

Presentation competition we all put in $5 and put in pitches for what the total should be used for. Then we did some rapid elimination to narrow down to the top four.
  • Donate to Cancer Foundation, personal story relating to family.
  • Story about homeless person in the city, gave him food, wants to donate for food for homeless people.
  • Story about friend who recently killed themselves, wants to donate money to combat depression.
  • Story about a friend, a single mother with four sons and two jobs who was affected by the Kalamunda fires, wants to donate money for sporting gear for the boys
Then we kicked them out and discussed the presentations, voted and invited them back in for feedback. Depression donation won.

Debrief: telling stories is powerful.
