In the spirit of the Bechdel test, the 545 test asks: given the ratio of male to female incidental characters (background characters) described within a given text, could the population of a world sustain itself?

...given I just happen to have stats for Supernatural S3 I was pleasantly surprised. The final cast of S3 Supernatural is still not even close to MVP but if it was merely a representative proportion then there might be hope.

Huh, so taken strictly by the numbers, SPN isn't actually so off the map, especially compared to other shows that don't get such a bad rep.

Also strictly by the numbers, its survival rate is worse for males than females. Yes, I know it's not all about the numbers. ;)
