The Drawing Challenge: Leaves. shape, texture, shadow

Proposed by tikiwanderer. I'd like to get back into drawing, it's been years since I did any and I think I can manage to set aside an hour a week to do a short, themed sketch. Next prompt is People at Home. form, light, shadow.



Amusingly (to me) my old sketch pad has people, plants, ducks, feet and a rather terrible drawing of my mother with the following text: "Wizened primary school teacher enjoying the sun. Super-tactful mother says I look like a burn victim, thankfully a young burn victim."
