We've just had another office round of 'I'm sure the weather has changed...' The below compares monthly averages for the last 10 years with the average monthly temperature since 1944 at the Perth airport.

Ave Temp 2000 2009

It looks to me like our winters are warmer and early summer (Dec/Jan) are warmer but erratic. Also, that curve is beautiful :)

Only dropping to 18C in the winter! You aren't going to get much snow. For comparison, Perth, Scotland looks like this (http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/weather/maps/city?LANG=en&UP=0&WMO=03144&CONT=ukuk&NOREGION=0&PLZ=_____&PLNZ=_____&LAND=SCO&LEVEL=160&R=160)

How are you going to swim under those conditions?

With gusto and vigour. Oh and a lot of enthusiasm if not technique to keep you warm. On the positive side, no jellyfish, sharks, snakes, crocodiles...

*grins* You might need a drysuit to keep warm

...so nothing to look at then?
