Hello world, please stop telling women we'll only get justice if we get assaulted by someone unpopular. I think this is the first time all the women I've talked to at work have ever aligned on the same issue.

At the moment the consensus I see around the internet indicates that i pick my friends well.

You know, I think the police are even less likely to prosecute someone ugly, 'lower class' and not that powerful

*sigh* nobody I know who was raped ever saw their rapist go to jail. When I was 14, so many of my friends were raped by their 16-year-old exes it wasn't funny :(

I'm definitely not seeing opportunities for humour here :(

this is what happens when I avoid the mainstream news sites.

Popular? unpopular? it doesn't matter. a crime has been committed.

and, I see this being no more news worthy than any other rape or crime. Not because RP is popular, creative, or successful, but that he is just another human.

Or to phrase it somewhat more betterly, every other rapecrime is just as newsworthy as this one.

There really are times when I wish I had enough passive income that I could just roam the world, removing the oxygen thieves and carbon deficits from our pretty world.
