Dear Diary, power and breakfast woes

• Power failed last night but *after* assignment draft was safely emailed to the world
• I am not very good at making porridge in a microwave (work)

is the porridge problem getting the consistency right, or the not boiling it over and making a great big mess? (the first I can offer my 'recipe' for, the second is just a matter of getting the right sized bowl, but you probably knew that already)

Consistency! Boiling over was.. well, expected but still impressively volcanic :(
