  • To Ride a Rathorn by PC Hodgell. Re-reading for love. Jame tries to survive at Tentir against considerable odds. I want there to be another book so badly and the end still surprises a laugh out of me
  • Buffy S8, Issue 24, 25 & 26 plus Tales of the Vampires. Still fun and a bit kooky.
  • Paint Your Dragon by Tom Holt. Silly, very silly. A talented artist finds her sculpture of St. George and the Dragon keeps vanishing. The Dragon is impressed by his latest body and wondering where to get a pint and St. George is saddeningly unheroic; clearly what we're building up to is another confrontation between Good and Evil and the most important question is who controls the bookies.

Yes. This.

I want there to be another book so badly

The next book in the series was handed in to the publisher earlier this year. The publisher will be Baen, who have also started bringing out paper editions of the backlist - and of course they've been offering the ebooks for a while now.

(Work has begun on the book after, as well. I wait with interest to discover whether this means Baen is doomed.)

Win! I've been poking around the internet and this fills me with glee - *and* she has an LJ where she talks about her writing!

*prays for Baen*

Trivial nitpicky comment:

I believe the Tom Holt novel is actually titled Paint Your Dragon. This is easier to remember if you know about the musical it's named after.

*fixes*

Thank you!
