Welcome to Revision 1383, up from 1329. This has been a full-on deploy, we have a bunch of changes and fixes and some exciting new additions. Also intrepid members of our coder team are doing some cross-crafting and learning how to deploy new code to the Beta Archive (this is normally handled by our beloved and overworked Systems team).

Our next deploy will probably be in 2 months, we have some fairly serious stuff to work on and want to use our time to our best advantage.

Highlights

• You can now individually backdate the chapters when posting a work
• Fields with character limits now have counters so you can tell how many characters you have used (Bookmarks, Comments, Series, Work - Title, Work - Summary, Work - Notes, Work - Text, User - Title, User - Location, User - About Me)
• Performance! The Fandoms page should be faster

Known Issues

• We forgot to add character counters to chapters and external bookmarks - we're on it now!
• Closing html tags - if you don't close them we try to close them for you but it may not be working perfectly - if you experience any formatting sneaking down the page - let us know :)

Bugs

• Fixed links in Abuse Reports -> Details (links now take you to page reported)
• Fixed Series visibility - now all items are visible to Admin accounts
• Fixed new Series not showing up when posting another work
• Fixed links in Terms of Service that were loading an Error 404 message
• Fixed problem opening page 2 of paginated search results
• Fixed incorrect 'Search' error message appearing when updating user details
• Fixed html formatting in works - should now display correctly
• Fixed 'Warnings' bug, should now always display warnings to logged out users and hide if logged in user has set preferences to hide
• Fixed Search filters - should now display all search results, not just those on first page
• Fixed pagination returning the wrong number of search results
• Fixed 'Cast' tags not updating on works when Wrangled
• Fixed placement of 'uncategorized fandoms' link on Fandoms page

New Things

• Added ability to backdate individual chapters on works (Tip: if you've already posted a work with multiple chapters and want to backdate it without going through and editing each chapter, you can edit the work and check the 'Set this publication date for the entire work' option)
• Added link to Bookmarks when browsing by Works and link to Works when browsing by Bookmarks
• Added character counters to fields with character limits (now you can see how many you have left!)
• Added second 'Send Notification' button to Notifications page (Admin feature now easier to use)
• Added second 'Assign' button to Mass Assign page (Tag Wrangler feature now easier to use)
• Added title text to 'Hidden' icon for works hidden by Abuse Team

Changes

• Changed Story Title Help file to reflect the change in minimum title length that's already live (1 character or more allowed)
• Changed text from 'Communities' to 'Collections' in all locations
• Changed Tag Cloud rules to show only canonical tags belonging to "No Fandom"
• Removed 'Post Chapter' option from preview of first chapter of work - was allowing people to save a 'zombie-draft' that didn't actually exist
