I've tagged the fic in the [info]spnnewsletter on del.icio.us. Supernatural_fic works as an archive of links, it can be filtered by Author, Category, Rating and Pairing, it is also an informal rec list as you can see how many other people have bookmarked something. Supernatural_fic is based on the newsletter because it is not very search friendly. This was not it's purpose, what it does, it does admirably and I have a lot of respect for the people who organise and code it. A side effect of all that tagging is the ability to make pretty pictures of the type of fic being written in our pretty, pretty fandom. The below pie charts were inspired by [personal profile] esorlehcar 's fabulous research. Mmm pie charts. They were derived from Edition 1 through Edition 600 and represent 16,705 items tagged.

No they don't add to 100%, items can be tagged Het and Slash so there is overlap.

Yay! You are encouraging me which can only lead to more pie charts and other excesses.

PLEASE. MORE PIE CHARTS. And Bar Graphs! Bar Graphs are FUN. There could be like, side by side comparisons and deep thought on what it means for fandom.

Or we could just squee over them.

Ah but what kind? Do we want to talk about the top five pairings? The most ridiculous group sex combinations? The most prolific writers? Why no-one writes Sam/Gordon? How even in SPN fandom there is still femslash?

I might have kind of maybe thought about other possible graphs

ALL OF IT, OMG. And I am proud to say I have totally contributed to that 0.04% of the fic that is RPS femmeslash. LET US DISCUSS FEMMESLASH. or anything. MORE GRAPHS!
