Weekend of much happiness

Dinner in Fremantle with maharetr , sunset over the ocean, live music at the Fly by Night (aussie soft pub rock / folk schmoop / blues), some light household maintenance (at least one task per week damnit), discovering it’s a vacuuming day (the Universe decides – we don’t) beach with the woofer (there are few things in the world better than putting your face into the side of a freshly sunbaked, clean dog), dinner with mother and brothers.

Have also started watching Carnivale and Kyle XY, both of which I blame on ascetic_hedony. Have seen a truely ridiculous amount of media in the last six weeks. 

Torchwood S1 which has great individual episode writing and no overall story - this drives me crazy.
Doctor Who S3 which I thoroughly enjoyed. John Simm was wonderful.
Ultraviolet the TV series which was dark and interesting .
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm which was just ridiculous.
Smallville S6 which is cracktastic, I blame cupidsbow. I shall watch S7.
Eureka S2 which is even stronger than S1 and still very amusing.

I could argue reasonably convincingly that the vids had all the good bits in them. Smallville is the Anti-Princess Tutu.
