Shoulder rotator cuff impingement.

No sport for two weeks; have paid a physiotherapist to hurt me and give me new exercises to do... again.

Physio also said nice things about my upper body strength for which I am choosing to forgive the excruciating shoulder massage.

Easily fixed. I just need to rest, loosen up the muscles and build some stabilising muscle further down my shoulder blade. A paddler friend has also much helpful advice on technique to decrease the likelyhood of it happening again.

I've had two hot water bottle and socks nights so far. Why is it always the left sock that betrays me by the way?

Thanks, it's not my photo (http://www.wilderness.org.au/regions/australia/on_the_trail_May06/?nid=2&loc=2) but it captures how I feel about paddling.
