Battlestar Galactica 3x15 A Day in the Life and 3x16 Dirty Hands

Episode 16 and we’ve had eight character episodes this season. That’s about eight too many although I can forgive one or two if they are boxed in by strong story-arc episodes.

I can only conclude that they’ve run out of plot and are saving what they have left for the season finale.

I want to know:

• What the Cylon are doing
  
• Where is the Fleet going
  
• Who and Where are the Five
  
• What is Starbuck’s mysterious destiny
  
• When Roslin lying about Hera to Bill (and Athena and Helo) is going to bite her on the ass
  
• Why Baltar sees an avatar of Six in his head and what she wants

I don’t particularly care about:

• Cally and Tyrol’s emotional problems
  
• Bill’s emotional problems
  
• Entire episodes devoted to the Fleet’s emotional problems. I got that in 1x01

I wonder if the reason I’m not terribly invested in the fleet’s survival is that I’m now fairly sure Earth exists and the future of the human race isn’t actually on those ships. It’s on some planet that neither the Fleet nor Cylon can find. This is partly based on some sad, sad geeky maths done a while ago that tells me the current 41,400 aren’t going to survive without an aggressive breeding program that they don’t have and couldn’t sustain if they did.

[ETA] Also. I'm not sure they should survive. I don't like many of them very much right now.

If it doesn't work, then go back to original plan of Dark Angel & Boondock Saints?
