Camera Update

Canon says sand in the lens is not covered by warranty and that repairs will cost $396.58. As the camera was bought for $729 and treated with loving care I'm not happy about the diagnosis or the price. Have indicated to nice man at camera shop that I feel Canon can try harder and he says he will talk to them. Am not optimistic but worth pursuing.
