Adama not launching the nukes; didn’t think he would however not a man known for bluffing so small, worried moment there. I like that he and Roslin still have a relationship after the Hera reveal and would like to know more about how that’s working out for them.

D’Anna refusing to recall the raider. Cylon internal politics seems to be a matter of reaching consensus through discussion and shared ‘obvious’ truths and it throws them when it falls apart. They tend to assume a very similar starting viewpoint so I get why the group decide the entire model 3 has to be boxed. That ‘messianic’ complex and it’s associated solipsism must drive them crazy. Very similar to their decision to 'remove' the human race.

I wonder if this mode of decision-making is inherently doomed to failure since Cylons get more individual as time passes. The Leoben model doesn’t seem to be represented much in council and the 3s are now on the outs. I wonder how much conflict there is between instances of the same model. All the 3s seem to be in accord but Boomer and Athena aren’t exactly on the same page.

I’d love to know how it’s technically possible to just shut down all the threes – indistinguishable from humans indeed! I could understand killing them all and storing the mental templates but how did they turn D’Anna off when she was embodied?

I’m trying to remember who D’Anna might need to apologise to and coming up blank.

I love that we’re still in the dark about Baltar’s prospective Cylon-ness and that he’s back with Galactica. How convenient that Caprica is back on the Galactica as well.

Athena flat surprised me; until Helo shot her I had no idea what she was asking for. Helo's dignity when confronting Roslin was GREAT, I love Helo, he’s so damn dripping with personal integrity it hurts.

Boomer is still so hurt and angry, trying to be a mother to Hera must have been very painful for her. I think the New Caprica occupation was incredibly damaging for all of them, they walked in with all these naïve ideals and utterly failed to actualise them.

I like the way Lee sent his wife into danger to save Sam’s wife to try and resolve the ‘stay and fight’ situation. I never doubted that Starbuck would survive but appreciate the slow working through of the relationship mess. I also appreciate Dee being tough, competent and resentful.

How on earth did Starbuck walk out of her ship and hug Sam when they had used up all the pain meds?

Athena/Helo/Bang. Sooo didn't see that coming :) And yes, Helo's subsequent confrontation with the President was masterful. Nice touch Adama gently holding him back.

Dualla - when Lee sent her on that rescue mission, I really didn't think she'd be coming back. Think of all the angst that would have caused >:-)

What a choice for Helo to have to make, sure he knows she will be resurrected but he doesn't know if she'll make it back to him and having the woman you love die in your arms is still an incredibly painful experience.

Roslin raised the possibility of Athena betraying them but I couldn't entertain it. Maybe I just don't -want- it to be possible.

Gawd, now they have a collection of dead Sharons.

Dualla - I wasn't sure how it would play out. She hasn't been very expressive on the whole situation and I've discounted her a little on account of it. I like her far more for her open resentment.

That had to be an interesting moment for Caprica, I mean defending a cylon child versus killing a Sharon in front of another Sharon? Is she just trying to save Hera or does she want something she can't have on the base star what with Baltar and D'Anna leaving her behind.

Helo's desperation to find an alternate plan makes much sense now we know what he wanted to avoid.

I can't see Athena betraying humanity in general. Roslin in particular though? Now there's a whole 'nutha ballgame.

Dead Sharons - Kinda like a Pullip collection? How much would an NRFB Sharon go for on eBay? :)

Dualla and Starbuck's little discussion while Dee was repairing the controls was most entertaining.

Caprica believes the child to be important. But yeah, she's probably also a little on the clucky side.

god this show! there's so much packed into one show. I know why i cant get into the BSG fandom - my head would esplode. I can barely cope with the 2 Winchester boys.

Every character is so well drawn and layered, and has an arc and plot and stuff!

One point i'll pick up on - I love the ocntrast and similarities between humans and cylons. As you say Cylons more collective based, but while becoming more individuated, can't hadnle individuality. Humans - on BSG - heirarchical, but accomodate diference eg Adama and Roslin and Helo in this ep.

The Cylon/Human contrast I loved the mostest was the Ellen/Tigh relationship versus Sharon/Helo.

Then then I saw Season 3 and the Cylon occupation just killed me. Oh Starbuck how do I love thee. Watching how she treated Leoben when he was her prisoner and how he treats her was so freakin' amazing.

I was just talking about BSG with veronamay and we were agreeing that we so need to go eack rewatch, well just about the whole damn thing, becuase so many layers keep getting added, and so much can be re-read in light of later events.

And I'll take any excuse to watch Starbuck do anything *is love*

I've recently pushed a friend into power watching the entire series so we've been doing lunch catch-ups where she babbles about where she's up to and I relive the love. Mmmmm love.
