Possibly the scariest episode for me so far, I get creeped out by things making noises and stalking you.

We can sum things up pretty quickly as a rehash of Dean’s emotional state and an info dump about where the story is going next. But hey, it was a fun ride with great music.

There was Dean’s double standard again, it’s OK for him to sacrifice himself but it’s not OK for other people to do it. If a real life person was that freakin’ obtuse I’d want to smack them but in Dean it just makes me want to put him in therapy and smack him anyway come back for more.

There was the rather heavy parallel with dying_wife_dude and Dean asking him if it was what his wife would have wanted and if she would have chosen it for him. Which is a really good question because me, I’d rather die clean than have someone sell their soul for me. In fact, having other people make decisions for me all round pisses me off and given Dean got the biggest dose of that in the world being John’s little solider I imagine, since this is the one call he TOTALLY disagrees with that he has quite a CHUNK OF RAGE to work out here.

I’m strangely impressed by Dean going up against the demon alone, they haven’t exactly done well in confrontations with demons in the past. It’s a little like Blade where in the first movie no human could possibly stand against a vampire but by Blade III you just have to be very fit and kinda hot.
