This was weirdly disappointing, characters underdeveloped and that strong sense of women present as people that I get off T1, T2 and The Sarah Connor Chronicles was absent. I feel more reconciled to TSCC being cancelled in the face of a Terminator movie coming out; they are so AU it would be hard to use T4 to make the jump to TSCC.

I’m going to put this in the same basket as T3 and pretend it didn’t happen. There were a bunch of shout-outs to T1 and T2 that were fun to see and it has a lot to offer in terms of explosions and giant robots but after watching TSCC I wanted very different things.

  • Courtney Crumrin (04) Monstrous Holiday by Ted Naifeh: Fire Thief's Tale plus another story about Courtney and her uncle on holiday. Dark, sad and delightful.
  • A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller.: Apocalypse fiction split into three tales shadowing the fall, slow rise and fall of the human race. Heavy with portent and grim, has lovely descriptions of post nuclear-war mythology plus an endearing, awful prophet.
