Birds, Books and DVD's

I am sure there are parts of the world where early morning birdsong is sweet and melodious - at least I hope there are - listening to the lorikeets battle it out for dominion convinces me 'Parrot' is a language that consists mostly of swearwords.

In other news, a survey of what it would cost to order the complete works of Lois Bujold had me checking the gold index, happily books are still not worth their weight in gold. They are however, worth green tea leg wax, good chocolate and very very good coffee, a concurrence that seems most appropriate.

Black Books

Was blessed with season one. Feel blessed, very blessed, am stalking seasons two and three – UK comedy set in a bookstore inhabited by Bernard (a drunk who hates people) and Manny (who has a coffee addiction), they bounce off Fran (who sells trinkets and desperately needs to get laid). Damn this is funny.
