Not my fault this time!

Was rear-ended by a P plater on Stirling HWY, little damage done to me and mine but the other car was munched.

You weren't in a 4wd, bumped by a white thing, were you? Just near the Cap S? 4.45pmish?
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 04:57 am (UTC)
Yups, that was me - where were you?
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:37 am (UTC)
The blue Honda just ahead of you! Dave was driving, not me.

Thank goodness it wasn't all of us mashed up then!

I felt sorry enough for the people behind me - ramming you two would have been a bit too much.

Can't have been her, Rav4s aren't 4WDs. >:)

owch.
No injuries to you? I'm assuming nothing major by your post but there's still the whole stiff neck option.

Hoping they're insured.

Feeling quite sorry for your car.

I seem to be fine, Lambert is more scuffed than ever and has some new hack marks in his rear bumper.

The other car was not insured and had smashed lights, crumpled bonnet and general brokenness. [sigh]

owch - sucks to be the driver of that one. Repair for their car and yours will cost.

PS - Do we have food for people tomorrow? The Ezy-whatsits are open for most of the day, but I expect they'll be busy.

To be honest, I thought I'd look at whether the damage is just cosmetic and maybe not do anything about it - I feel sorry for them.

...err catering. I have done no organising at all.

Given our usual breakfast habits, we will have about 1L of milk, plus most of a Long Life container by midday (so I plan on sleeping in a little).

I've got one pack of sausages (maybe two if I venture into the ice buildup) but no hotdog buns, 2.7L of coke, 0.5L lemonade and a small amount of alcohol. Quite a lot of grape juice for some reason. Icecream that I'm willing to share is down to 1L vanilla and 0.3L lemon sorbet. For snacks, I have 1 packet of twisties and a block of chocolate. Not sure if the caramel dipping sauce is still within best before date.

It is sad that I know the contents of my food stores this well.

Shopping will need to be done.

I'm all for it - just somewhat lacking in organisingy energy.

I'm also not sure what I have - I've been living on yoghurt and fruit and of course bacon and eggs.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:55 am (UTC)
Can't remember if I mentioned it or not. I've got an early start on Friday - I can get away with an 8:30 start but I really should be in at 7:30.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:58 am (UTC)
Muah, I've got permission to go in late - this will be a first!
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 06:21 am (UTC)
I was going to comment about the car accident, but I've been distracted by the food inventory in decimal places.

Glad you weren't hurt, W, and I'm not sure 0.3L of lemon sorbet sounds like enough.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 06:23 am (UTC)
We usually have enough dairy products thanks to AH's tireless efforts on our behalf!

I'm glad too - actually so much has happened in the last week it seems like a minor footnote.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 06:47 am (UTC)
Yep, except that I really haven't been shopping this week. That's what working half the weekend gets you.

Though I have contributed 8L of milk to the cause this week.

The sorbet only comes in little containers. If Coles is open tomorrow I may get more. Otherwise, we may have to pack the freezers with regular icecream.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 08:26 am (UTC)
i'll bring the machine and the freezer.

let's see what flavours we can come up with on the spot, eh?
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:47 pm (UTC)
Cardamom icecream!
Thursday, January 26th, 2006 05:44 pm (UTC)
Definitely get it looked at - if the other car got a significant amount of crumpledness then there's a chance yours took some damage that won't be immediately obvious.

Feeling sorry for them is one thing, ending up with expensive repairs 6 months down the track when you can't claim it against the other driver is another.

I appreciate your advice!

Are you able to help me drop off/pick up Lambert for an assessment in Myaree on Wednesday next week?
Thursday, January 26th, 2006 06:15 pm (UTC)
Can do - let me know times etc. I (probably) have a meeting at 10am.
Thursday, January 26th, 2006 06:22 pm (UTC)
Thank you. The assessment is booked for 8:30 - 11:00 @ 46 McCoy Street, Myaree.

I figure just drop him off before work then pick him up after.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:52 am (UTC)
glad you are alright!!! *hugs*

if you like i can come down earlyish (after sleep in time cos i want that too) and am willing to a) go with for shopping and b) contribute $$
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 05:59 am (UTC)
[grin] Thanks dear.

You may have noticed my remarkable lack of organising - I'm going to respond as things arise and otherwise not fuss - I'm sure things will work out beautifully.
Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 06:03 am (UTC)
sounds good :)

Thursday, January 26th, 2006 05:51 pm (UTC)
ARGHK!

I'm glad you're OK!

Thursday, January 26th, 2006 06:14 pm (UTC)
Gifted I tell you.
