Plans to stay up all night comet watching were curtailed last night when the Cosmos Centre called to cancel on account of heavy cloud cover.

Wahh

I'd been looking forward to this for weeks, Comet Schwassmann-Wachman 3B/3C has been billed as one of the of the highlights for Astronomical viewing during 2006. That means we also missed the occultation of Antares by the Moon.

Consolation was had at the Pines in the form of a lot of seafood, I also tried every custard based dessert they have. Mmmmm.

Mmmm, seafood and custard are fine consolations.

I need to make bread and butter pudding, and possible creme caramels.

Sorry to hear that.

I did think of you when I saw the cloud cover and moon last night :(

Yay for deserts!

I *did* spend some time on a hill admiring the swiftly moving clouds and the coronoa of light around the moon.

Oh well.

The chances of a meteorite are ... astronomical, your Majesty!
