I think I went out to get bruise cream[0] and more liquid iron supplement[3] but my haul is far more impressive than that! I have beyoootiful blue and silver scarves[4] and vast amounts of dried pineapple[6] and a lemon tart[1].

Have also noticed new toenail polish is still unchipped after a week of training[2] which is very unusual, may finally have discovered a brand worthy of my lifestyle - plus they do BRIGHT PINK.

[0] Because can't do a downward knife-hand chop board break without driving knee into floor ...yet, and cleverly landed -right- on top of the bruise from Thursday[5].
[1] Of which I ate half as Wendy nicked the other half when my back was turned.
[2] Two hours of class - usual class plus senior training slid into three today as we failed to notice time passing. Have tres cool new arm lock and elbow strike.
[3] The difference between being a blood donor and being kicked out and sent home, I do not absorb iron well.
[4] Not that my collection was in any way insufficient but.. pretty!
[5] Faithfully ice-packed it with cute baby seal shaped ice-thingy from freezer - do you have any idea how hard it is to strap a baby seal to your knee?
[6] Health food store man says pineapple contains anti-inflammatories.

Looks enviously at your bruise cream.

Sometimes T and I are just a little bit too enthusiastic with each other. Blocking coordination game rapidly spiralled out of control. I called the halt with "T, you're hitting me too hard". And we tried to slow down and take it a little easier, but we just couldn't. So now I have bruises on inner and outer blocking surfaces. Some are quite painful. And I also scored an elbow to my shin when I pushed one of the black tips in sparring and he freaked and brought the elbow crashing down. Threatening tall, heavy men by shouting at them very loudly sometimes leads to them panicking.

And some of the big green belt men punch very fast but with little control and require the kind of blocking that leaves huge bruises on them and little bruises on me. Still. Ow. Poor little arms.
