See, I *do* see movies.
Goblet of Fire was strangely like watching a very long preview, lots of scenes, no exposition. Am happy with Cedric's beautifully highlighted cheekbones and unhappy with Dumbledore's shouty persona.
Stealing Beauty I have seen before and still adore, it's all atmospheric and passionate.
The Corpse Bride was a bit more traditional than Nightmare before Christmas and very pretty. Hmm, a sweet, victorian gal in a high necked dress or a hot corpse bride who dances and plays the piano.. difficult choice, if it wasn't the for the pulse problem I would have gone for the corpse.
Howl's Moving Castle was fabulous and I'm going to re-watch it repeatedly because I can.

Re Harry Potter I actually liked the way they cut the book to a movie, mind you, it doesn't change the fact that the book was infinitely better simply for the sheer detail that you can put into a book that you can't in a movie... still will be interested in seeing the extended version to see if that makes a difference.
I haven't seen Stealing Beauty yet, but given your comment on it, i'm now looking forward to doing so...
