Hah!

I am loyal. The BBC production is still closest to my heart1 but darn it was good. Great casting, fabulous period outfits, fine sets3. I don't think it will be a classic because it relies less on the sheer wittiness of the story and more on the dramatic tension between the characters. I was saddened to see the whole Wickham thingy minimised and also to see how much more sympathetically Mr and Mrs Bennet were portrayed, it rather undercut the point of all that posturing about class, position and respectability. They compensated with Lizzie and Darcy getting all passionate at each other2 [fans self] which was hot.

1Piano scene.
2Keira's big dark eyes were awfully big... and dark.
3Wolfhounds...

Don't want to see P&P. Don't want to see P&P. Will see P&P solely for the wolfhounds.

Wolfy wolfhounds with big grey heads and twisty tufts of fur.

Don't forget Keira

Could we, like, get Kiera and dress her up as a wolfhound? Cos that would be hot.

I think I should become a scriptwriter, then I could make a fantastically wonderful original movie - possibly called Cirates of the Parribean - and make a character called Kiera Knightley1 who goes around disguised as a wolfhound.

1 Hah! Did you see what I did there? I swapped the first letter of her first and last names to disguise it, while still giving subtle hints to the casting mob as to who I'd like to play the part.

You're very, very clever. I would never have spotted that without your help.

So - you like wolfhounds, huh?

They're so big and cute and tufty and big and...and...and...stuff. I think I should get a few (read: a lot) acres in the country and breed wolfhounds. I could move out to Northam, and they could chase [livejournal.com profile] zebra363's Appy around when she's not there. *grin*

Life could never be boring if you had a dog the size of a horse.
