Hah!

I am loyal. The BBC production is still closest to my heart1 but darn it was good. Great casting, fabulous period outfits, fine sets3. I don't think it will be a classic because it relies less on the sheer wittiness of the story and more on the dramatic tension between the characters. I was saddened to see the whole Wickham thingy minimised and also to see how much more sympathetically Mr and Mrs Bennet were portrayed, it rather undercut the point of all that posturing about class, position and respectability. They compensated with Lizzie and Darcy getting all passionate at each other2 [fans self] which was hot.

1Piano scene.
2Keira's big dark eyes were awfully big... and dark.
3Wolfhounds...
