STEAMBOY (PG) - Tuesday 21st Dec at 8pm
The most expensive (US$21.6 million) anime ever produced, Steamboy, Katsuhiro Otomoís long awaited follow-up to Akira is a science-fiction epic set in Victorian London. Ray Steam receives a marvellous and powerful invention called the 'Steam Ball', from his grandfather in the U.S and must keep it from the nefarious O'Hara Foundation which wants to use its power towards their own illicit ends. Steamboy has over 180,000 drawings and in excess of 400 CGI cuts, be sure not to miss it!
I second that! Was fun although somewhat lacking in basic science.. Was also cold, and if I hadn't planned ahead and provided a heating system it would have been a problem.
