I have tried to cut these down a bit but given I cared enough to list them it hurts to cut them out.

bad movies - and why not; bad movies need love too. There's special enjoyment to be had watching things like Barbarella and Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death

blueberries - in muffins, with icecream, blended into smoothies. What's not to like?

detective fiction - in particular Nero Wolfe and Albert Campion, it's all about being witty, charming and very, very clever.

dogs - because having the love, company and the thick, soft fur to cuddle is very important to me.

egg boiling - the perfect boiled egg is a thing of beauty.

frogs - I love their little toes and the colour of their eyes.

jigsaws - I like the way a good jigsaw will seduce everyone who passes to stop and play - jigsaws are great in their own right but are also wonderful social glue.

puns - language and how we communicate are a source of constant interest and joy

rogaining - the only sport that requires a compass, spare socks, a best friend and cooked bacon

science jokes - If you're not part of the solution you're part of the precipitate.

scuba - because some of my most transcendent moments of happiness have been while floating over coral formations watching fish

taekwondo - it's good exercise, my senior instructor is a demi-god, and I rather like shouting and hitting things. It's a physical and mental thing... just perfect.

weather - those spring days when the air feels soft and you can almost taste the blue sky and you want to snuggle people; the windy storms that hurl sheets of rain at you and shatter the sky with lighting; the hot, heavy days when you can feel the sun sucking the moisture out of your skin

I love your interests (although I don't share them all) and your reasons for them. Especially science jokes.

Aww thanks.

All that glitters is not gold, but at least it contains free electrons...
