Thud! by Terry Pratchett was kinda average. A lot of commentary on race behaviour and prejudice and a nice big dose of Sam Vimes being, well, Sam. I thought the Gooseberry Personal Dis-Organiser was kinda funny too.

The Serpent's Shadow by Mercedes Lackey was sweet and amusing but not startlingly attractive. Glad it came from the library.

I actually love the sepent's shadow although my favourite mercedes lackey books are either Fire rose or one good knight.

The bit when I worked out which fairy tale she was rewriting was exciting!
