A black ops super soldier seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission.

The plot is pretty average but Gina Carano plays the super soldier and her MMA skills make the fight scenes something special to watch. I get a lot out of watching her run like a dangerous person - so unlike most women running in movies. Haywire avoids many boring mistakes female action movies have to put up with - I particularly like the way her relationship with her father is handled.

Even better, IMDB says there is an untitled Adi Shankar Project slotted for 2015 and rumoured to be a female Expendables hopefully also casting Katee Sackhoff, Linda Hamilton (rumoured) and Pam Grier (also rumoured).

I remember seeing a preview for Haywire and thinking it looked better than usual.

I watched Haywire recently too - and have it on the kitchen table to remind me to review it!

I loved that Gina Carano was so competent and smooth, she was easy to watch and the action was brilliant, and the fights realistic - K was impressed with them. Also, I loved the cinematography, a nice change from the jagged, jolty fast paced action and instead there's lots of long shots allowing you to observe as the character observes etc. Fantastic stuff :)

Those rumours are *awesome* indeed.... *hopeful*
