Fool's Gold: light and funny, I loved the action sequences, it has great fight scenes. I was surprised to see this was made in 2008 because it looks like the film that that should have given Matthew McConaughey the Sahara role in 2005, presumably this is a low(er) budget remake-ish capitalising on Sahara - which remains my go-to comfort movie for buddy/action/explosions.

Thor: Erm. It has very pretty actors but I feel the writers were a bit confused when they were trying to create a plot give Loki motivation. This is also the first time I have utterly failed to suspend disbelief for the purported romance - it made no sense to me. Kudos for passing the Bechdel test almost immediately.
