This is currently flowering in the back yard. Any clue as to what it is?

Some sort of flowering Aloe?

I suspect we have the same thing growing in our front yard by the drive way. The flowers on ours have withered away, though. But do we know what it's called? Sorry! [grin]

Just wondering if its worth posting an additional pic in different light. The flowers look yellow in this pic (they're white) - I suspect this it what it looks like early in the morning before I am awake.

It makes me think of foxglove, perhaps it belongs to that family?

It's a Yucca gloriosa or Spanish Dagger

'Evergreen, sword shaped, spine toothed, blue-grey leves grown the short, stout, woody stem. In late summer or autumn a huge panicle of ivory flowers emerges. height - 2m, spread 1m. Likes sun.
