Why do some people lead happy successful lives whilst others face repeated failure and sadness? Why are some people always in the right place at the right time, while others are always unlucky?

A highly amusing talk on how our view governs our ability to perceive opportunities. Lucky people, it seems, are people who always look for the best and who assume that things will work out in their favor. An attitude worth cultivating methinks.

Amusingly despite my best efforts I got there 30 minutes late. My five-minute wait for the courtesy bus to pick up Lambert after servicing turned into an hour of reading space opera at the train station followed by some singing in the rain during that traffic experience known as trying to cross Perth in peak hour. Just as well I had a good book and a CD with me huh?
