- Kiba is settling in, he is simultaneously adorable and frustrating as we adapt and teach him how to fit in our household. He has cuddled and played and been the most lovable creature as well as fishing in the bins and marking the couches and walls. So worth it.
- I'm now getting up at 5:30am to help burn off some of his puppy energy with walks and I'm finding the local park gorgeous in the early morning. I particularly love the scent of the lemon gums.
- Kiba and Kenobi went to the beach Sat morning. Kiba's first swimming experience was hilarious (for me) as he bounded way too deep after another dog and frantically swam back to shore. He danced suspiciously in and out of the waterline after that.
- Kenobi is really showing his age when contrasted with Kiba. He's on pain meds and anti-inflammatories and I'm hoping he will find some balance between the constant playing (which is wonderful to see) and the needs of his body.
- Kiba demonstrated his ability to leap onto the kitchen bench this morning - standing leap to all four paws on the bench. Very impressive. The old honey tub apparently makes an excellent dog toy.
- Kiba is not-quite-fetching. He runs after balls, especially bouncy ones (and watching him 'bounce' after them is so funny), picks them up then runs back to the back glass door to drop them and stare mournfully at Kenobi who has been banned from such energetic games.
