7 am hah! Woke up at 6:52 and even had breakfast going.

• We're starting to talk seriously about preparing for co-location, we'll be able to take on a lot more users - although we want to do that in a careful, measured way to avoid the site melting under us :p
• One of our important tasks will be changing the existing /works page to a 'Search page' so you can't tap the database for more than it can handle.
• Another task is getting our invitations system right, we're talking to Denise and Mark about how the DW invites system worked for them.
• Submissions for the design for Collections and Challenges closes on the 30th so if you run these kinds of things or know someone who does - poke them then come on over and add your thoughts. OTW Blog post, LJ News post (LJ mirror), DW News post (DW mirror)
• We're having to temporarily remove the counters in the filters that tell you how many stories there are with that tag. The fix is conflicting with another problem with the filters so right now we can have the fix, or the count and we're choosing to go with the fix.
• Deploy to Beta next week, one week of hectic testing to go!
• elz demonstrated just how much loading tags costs us while trialling a profiling plugin. 70% of the page loading time is the 'most used tags'! *loves graphs*
