Thank you all so much for making my birthday celebration part of slashcon, for the excellent company and the eleventyone delightful conversations and thank you to [livejournal.com profile] angstslashhope for turning up and being all interesting, cute and clever. Apologies again to [livejournal.com profile] chaosmanor for the impromptu Little Red Riding Hood re-enactment, I had no idea we were so loud. I saw some new vids, heard some wonderful stories read out loud, learned some more about vidding, a lot more about podcasting and had some very dubious crocodile porn written for me. Yay!

Thank you also to [livejournal.com profile] missyjack and [livejournal.com profile] riverbella for the virtual gifts! I have been blessed both in love and material gifts this birthday *clutches book from [livejournal.com profile] maharetr, shiny new second monitor, new pjs and copy of Bladerunner*. [livejournal.com profile] callistra baked me cake too!

Oh and there will be Boondock Saints and Sahara this Saturday at the House of B&D by the way.

The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski. Dark fantasy/fairy story telling set in a grimy world where all sorts of fantastical beasts exist and Witchers are the not so sekrit society who hunt down evil and deal with it. I felt the fate of many of the female characters as a bit grim but the story telling was good.

Buffy Season 8 Issue 14 & 15 by Drew Goddard. I love Xander's relationship with Dracula as much as ever and had a giggle at the mech-Dawn’s dialogue.

Supernatural Origins by Peter Johnson. If I'd known the new art work was being picked up just so we could have better drawings of tits I wouldn't have been so excited. Apparently women are home wrecking, child stealing, evil sex-beasts and I'm feeling pretty damn repulsed right now.

Tangled Webs by Anne Bishop. A story in the Black Jewels 'verse centered around Surreal, not as funny or as hitched to my heartstrings.
