Paddling

Went from Bassendean to Guildford using a sea kayak. Was a bit worried about carrying sea kayaks on Lambert - need cradles to carry something that long with a clear conscience.

Distance was about 10km and very enjoyable, far prettier than closer to the city and company most worthwhile. Trip made even better by the bewildering array of snacks we all brought; clear winner was chocolate chocolate chip coconut and cherry cupcakes.

Can plot route on google earth which makes me ridiculously happy.

Clotheslines

Rain, rain go away.

Can see the need to have an undercover clothesline what with three people and at least four sporting habits living under one roof so did install a spare in our back shed and another under the back porch. I say installed but actually I did all the shopping, organising and random 'stuff' and juffles did all the being tall enough to drill holes.

Naturally the weather improved dramatically.

Cut the grass out the front; very satisfying doing this; seems to be a cue for all neighbours to come chat.

Collected mynxii from Kenwick before attempting to find Girrawheen which was my downfall as Mr Policeman didn't approve of my lane changing and turning of corners. [sigh] my first traffic offence. Lucky they don't have a chocolate-iser as I was over the limit.

japester's going away party was lovely, more people should own pool tables, vast MP3 collections, balls made out of dog, interesting friends and make trifle. Spent time with many charming people and really enjoyed it. May never recover from kae_dash's lapdance demonstrating.
