A charming regency style exchange of correspondence between two very enterprising young ladies. I am utterly, utterly in love and anyone who has the slightest positive response to Georgette Heyer must read this AT ONCE. ascetic_hedony owns it.

Brokeback Mountain

Heartbreaking and beautiful. I think the laughter that went round when Alma saw Ennis and Jack kissing was nervous giggling rather than genuine humour - the response arising from (us, not Alma) witnessing something acutely painful (I can be hysterically funny when I'm terrified). I also think I heard maybe half of Ennis' lines although this wasn't a problem for me as I felt like I had a pretty good idea what he was thinking and feeling anyway.

Much fun to be had after when we successfully wedged about 20 people into a restaurant and babbled madly for a while.
