Origins: UK. Evolved from Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. One of the most recognised shaggy dogs. Polish Lowland Sheepdogs were brought to Scotland and crossed with local farm collies and used in the Highland shepherding.
Personality: Alert and self-confident the Bearded Collie makes a fine family pet that is reliable with children. Known for it's bounce and exuberance, the Beardie will charm you with it's joyous, affectionate, happy-go-lucky ways. Playful and lively with an always wagging tail, it makes the perfect companion for children.
