Not quite as good as Century Rain, quite slow moving. I liked the rich astronomical descriptions and so on but it reminds me of early science fiction writers who put more into the science than the story. It still had many interesting threads slowly converging and a steady build of ideas right to the end, characters were pretty unlikable. Am going to cheerfully hunt down his other books and read 'em.
