Writing like mine - I took up IT, not too dissimilar. My handwriting has atrophied and I make no apologies for it. It also degrades if I get excited because my hand can't keep up with my head.
When taking my finals at university the b--- sat us down in a room at a rickety desk with paper and pens and said WRITE! After training us for years how to type. After 15 minutes my hand ached. I looked around and saw that I was by no means alone in massaging my hand/wrist/elbow. And of all the questions they ask they want you to write a program - on a piece of paper, even trivial programs - do you know how hard that is? Paper featuring a decided lack of cut and paste or just backspace for a start.
