Re-reading inspired by previews for The Bourne Supremacy, still a good read. Was exposed to vast amounts of spy novels when too young to have a decent book collection of my own - raided father's shelves.

On reflection, parents had a lot of spy/espionage/detective as well as a scary collection of alternative religion.. no wonder my childhood was so strange.
