Guest of Honor dinner meant delicious food and good company. The music was trifle too loud, the people were fantastic and I found much amusement in being given back a DVD in the presence of avid media fans who kept being intensely interested except for the bit where it was on white water kayaking survival skills.

Failed to arrive on time Friday night due to unexpected but very enjoyable dog transport mission. I hypothesise the trail of underwear I kept trying to leave is connected to the two washing machines we're trying to recycle on the front verge. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The panel on addiction was fun and interesting;  we heard about the difference between addiction and obsession and the process through which one lets go of either. It's interesting to note that erratic, unpredictable reward is far more addicting than regular praise/pellets.

This makes sense; really, because on Saturday when I lost my panellist virginity talking about Phat Fantasy Novels I found myself thinking the thing that keeps you hooked is waiting for the next good bit. Thank you to everyone for being so lovely at me, it was painless! [was it good for you too?] We snuck off - well lumbered like a herd of brightly coloured elephants - for pancakes and I managed to order the one thing they didn't have but managed to eat before cannibalism became a viable option. Did socialise muchly then help present Science is Golden (or just very, vey shiny). Apologies to anyone who hurt themselves trying to lift chairs or jump while holding their toes. Bolted to Wonkur, made it back for an hour of cuddles then vanished again to go to dinner.

Sunday was 'remember the milk for <lj user=kae_dash>' day followed by some very impressive concoctions pumped full of caffeine, sugar and cream. Oh my, oh my. I had transport and family activities during the day but made it back for the Official Closing and much, much love and appreciation to <lj user=mynxii> for being fabulous. Saw and cuddled many wonderful people, probably got more love than random information and am very content.
